RenewATL informs and empowers the people, businesses and organizations that are working to make Atlanta’s built environment more sustainable.

Ken Edelstein has reported on Georgia’s environment for more than 25 years. In the early 1990s, he was one of the nation’s first journalists to cover the emerging New Urbanist movement — and to stress the connection between transportation, regional planning and environmental issues. After winning numerous awards for his own reporting at the Columbus (Ga.) Ledger-Enquirer, Ken became editor-in-chief of the Atlanta alternative weekly Creative Loafing, where he led teams that won more 50 local, regional and national awards. Since leaving CL, he’s focused on sustainability and the built environment, served as contractor on his own family’s LEED-certified house, developed websites, and has served as an online communications consulting.
